  • LIT Farms: Smalls – QP Haul – Rankings, Reviews – Best Essential Small Bud Strains

    I grabbed a quarter pound of 4 different essential tier, ‘small bud’ strains from LIT Farms.

    Of the 4 strains I grabbed, 3 were pretty great for the $35/oz price tag. Only one was a miss, that I wouldn’t grab again. 75% success rate isn’t terrible for such deep budget flower, in my opinion.

    So, here are the strains I got, in order from most favorite to least favorite.

    #1: Runtz

    Runtz is my absolute favorite of this haul, I can’t even believe it’s in this category. The nugs look amazing, they’re perfectly moist, the nose is LOUD & dank, & the high is nice, strong & exactly what I expect from Runtz, an awesome hybrid effect.

    If you get any smalls options, I would definitely recommend this one first!

    #2: Pink Pluto

    Pink Pluto is my second favorite. The nugs are a little bit dry, but the smell is fantastic & strong, and the bag appeal is great. A solid, indica dominant high.

    #3: Garlic Sauce

    Garlic Sauce is my third favorite. Nice bag appeal, surprisingly moist & sticky, but not much nose on this one. Decent hybrid effects, not the most potent, but a decent daily driver.

    #4: Blue Andies

    Blue Andies is the worst of this haul, by a long shot. Big nugs, but they look disgusting; old and super brown. The smell is even worse, with a certain gross mildew scent to it. I’m not going to try this one.

    Overall:

    Of the four ounces, the only one I wouldn’t buy again is the Blue Andies, for obvious reasons. The other three really surprised me for the price, and I would grab them again for sure.

    Here are the top 5 strains of “Smalls” that I would grab from LIT Farms, as of March 2026.

    #5: Zoap

    Zoap (Rainbow Sherbert x Pink Guava) happens to be one of my favorite strains from LIT. It’s a euphoric hybrid with a strong sour citrus, cherry and earthy scent. Every time I’ve had it from LIT, it’s a sticky, perfectly cured bag.

    This batch has a testing date of September 2, 2025.

    #4: Black Cherry Gelato

    Black Cherry Gelato (Acai x Black Cherry Funk) is a relaxing, indica dominant hybrid with a skunky, berry nose.

    This batch has a testing date of September 4, 2025.

    #3: Mochi Runtz

    Mochi Runtz (Mochi x Runtz) is a happy, uplifting, evenly balanced hybrid with a sweet, fruity nose.

    This one also has a testing date of September 4, 2025.

    #2: Double Runtz

    Double Runtz (Most likely a Runtz Backcross (Runtz x Runtz)) is a giggly, evenly balanced hybrid with a very sweet, candy nose.

    Testing date on this one is very recent, coming in on January 30, 2026.

    #1: Gelato King

    Gelato King (Curelato x Hi Octane) is a body heavy, indica dominant hybrid with a skunky, gassy scent.

    This one has the most recent testing date I’ve seen on the whole site, it was just over a month ago as of posting this. February 3, 2026.

    Sour Lemon Essential Smalls – $30/Ounce at LITFarms.com

    I decided to try out some small buds from LIT Farms, and I’m glad I did. I was sleeping on this option for WAY too long! This was a $30/ounce, yet it’s just about as quality as most supreme tier options that I get in.

    The buds are nice and frosty, just packed with beautiful trichomes.

    The nose was strong sour citrus, exactly what you’d expect based on the name. Translates well to flavor, with a nice smooth smoke in a joint. It also produces a nice little resin ring on the joint, which you can see in the video below.

    Effects are very strong sativa for me, hitting me almost like a cup of coffee. It’s almost too strong for me personally, it’s a rush!

    Overall, I’m absolutely amazed that this was a $30 ounce. I had lower expectations for these essential smalls ounces, but they blew me out of the water. I would actually recommend this!

    Today I’m taking a quick look at 2 different strains under my microscope, an essential and a supreme tier.

    This essential we’re looking at is BubbleGum Runtz, and the Supreme is Pineapple Zoap.

    I put them both under my microscope to examine the difference between high quality and mid quality flower on a microscopic level.

    Top shelf vs low shelf, top shelf vs mid shelf, high grade vs mid grade, high grade vs low grade, any way you want to put it, this was an easy way to answer that question with flower from LIT Farms.

    The comparison is very fun to see and I had a good time creating this. I hope someone out there enjoys looking at this as much as I enjoyed creating it!

  • LIT Farms: Supreme VS. Essential Tiers – Comparing The Same Strain In Each Tier – Which Is Best?

    I bought two different versions of this strain, Ice Cream Runtz, so I could do a comparison. Which is better between the essential and the supreme version?

    The supreme has smaller nugs, but much better bag appeal, scent, taste, smoothness and an extremely strong high.

    The essential has much bigger nugs, but less bag appeal, scent, taste, has a slightly harsher smoke, and is more of a chill buzz compared to a strong high.

    If you’re someone who enjoys indoor, potent flower, supreme is definitely the best tier for you. If you’re someone who enjoys sun grown, mellow flower, essential is absolutely the tier for you, and at a 3rd of the price as well. Can’t go wrong!

    Overall, both of these options have their time and place, their pros and cons. It really just comes down to you and your preferences!

    Personally, I prefer the supreme tier, I love an overall deluxe, craft cannabis experience, and this certainly delivers. Thanks for watching, and happy smoking yall!

    Essential – Lowest Tier 

    Grown in either outdoor, greenhouse, or light-dep environments. Occasionally, but more rarely sourced from large commercial indoor farms.

    This tier will usually have the least bag appeal & scent. 

    Great for beginners, budget hunters & old heads looking for that old school sun grown flower. Also great for homemade edibles, oils, etc. 

    Essential tier flower – GMO

    Preferred – Middle Tier

    Grown indoor, by various farms. 

    Expect a more noticeable scent, more pleasing flavor, and better bag appeal. This flower will have noticeably more trichome coverage. 

    Great for experienced users, looking for a high quality indoor flower to enjoy on a daily basis. 

    Preferred tier flower – White Truffle

    Supreme – Highest Tier

    Grown indoor by LIT themselves, or grown in limited batches by smaller craft farms. 

    Top shelf flower; Very high bag appeal, powerful scent & flavor, and very potent effects. These releases rival any of the highest tier flower from any dispensary or brand. 

    Great for users with high tolerance, users looking for a luxury craft experience, & connoisseurs. 

    Supreme tier flower – Black Runtz
