  • Flower Mill Plates: Differences & What’s Best For You – Tested!

Flower Mill Plates: Differences & What’s Best For You – Tested!

The Flower Mill is my favorite “grinder” by far, and the interchangeable plates are a big reason for that. The Flower Mill comes with mill plate #3 by default, with each additional plate costing extra.

So, here is a comparison of the end result with each different sized mill plate.

    Plate #1 – Extra Fine:

I like to use the finer plates for dry herb vapes, particularly ball vapes like my Ruby Twist. Some styles of vapes might perform better with a coarse grind, though. I don’t usually use plate #1, but for vaping, I’d prefer it to the standard #3 plate.

    Plate #2 – Fine:

This one is my favorite for my ball vape, personally. As a result, this one is almost always my daily driver when vaping is my main method of consumption.

    Plate #3 – Medium (Default):

This one comes with the Flower Mill by default. It’s a nice, standard size that I’d say does best in a regular bowl. While the other plates may not be necessary, I will say that this one is almost never in my Flower Mill.

    Plate #4 – Coarse:

Any time I’m not vaping, this is the one that’s in my Mill. I really enjoy this size for most forms of regular combustion; Bowls, pipes & joints.

    Plate #5 – Extra Coarse:

The most coarse option available. I don’t usually use this one, but if I happen to be rolling a big blunt, this is the one I’m choosing. The extra coarseness really adds to the blunt experience in particular, in my opinion. Otherwise, this one is just a bit too coarse for my usual habits.

Overall, I love having the ability to customize my experience every time. I enjoy having all 5 for any circumstance, but I’d say as long as you have #2-#4, you’ll be pretty set.

  • How I Replaced ADHD Medication, Naturally – With CBG

CBD has it’s uses for me, but on it’s own, it’s something I usually need to reserve for night time. It gets me relaxed and somewhat calm, sometimes even a little sleepy, but it doesn’t do what I wanted it to do for my constantly racing thoughts.

To me, CBD feels like a physical relaxation and relief, but I was trying to get a mental relaxation and relief. I wanted to ease my anxiety and racing thoughts, and be able to sit down and focus on one idea at a time. I usually struggle with starting something, then having a thousand other thoughts, and winding up with 1000 unfinished projects and a messy house.

Turns out CBG (Cannabigerol) is the answer to what I was looking for. It’s practically exactly what I wanted out of CBD, it relaxes my brain 100% and lets me just breathe, and do things while focusing in on them, without my mind immediately pushing me towards the next thing.

It’s been about a decade since I was taking ADHD meds (adderall, vyvanse and ritalin,) but CBG is the closest feeling I’ve had, without being a full on tweaking mess. I had to stop taking amphetamines because of the negative side effects they gave me, but these feel like all the focus and motivation of those amphetamines, without the bad energy that amphetamines usually give me. (No shade to amphetamines or people who use them! They just don’t vibe with me :))

I only get my CBG from a USDA certified organic brand, Mellow Moose. This way, I know exactly what’s in it, and can trust the product to be very high quality.
