  • Ruby Twist: Most Common Mistakes (Pro OR Standard)

I absolutely love my Ruby Twist ball vape from VgoodiEZ. I wrote a page here about my thoughts on it after owning it for a year, and why exactly I love it, if you’re more interested in that.

These are some of the most common mistakes I see people make when it comes to the Ruby Twist:

    #1: Over-Packing The Bowl

A lot of people fill the bowl and pack it down like a regular glass piece, but the ruby twist works best with just a little bit of material. Keeping some air between the material allows the device to extract what you want most efficiently, without needing to mix it halfway through. When you fill it too much and pack It down, the hot air can’t get everywhere it needs to go, and you stop getting an efficient extraction. Your material will toast unevenly, it will feel harder to inhale, and you may need to mix it halfway through to finish the bowl.

With just a little bit, you can easily get everything you want out of it.

    #2: Too Low of Temp

A lot of new users are too conservative with the temperature they think they should run their ruby twist at. I usually get the best results at 550-575f, personally.

I frequently see people say they went down to 475 or so to have less throat irritation. Ironically, lower temps can often cause a more irritating experience, as you’re getting way more terpenes which are what’s irritating your throat. At higher temps, they’re getting more efficiently vaporized and irritating your throat less, as counter-intuitive as that sounds .

    #3: Grinding Too Coarse

Similar to #1, you want more airflow between your material, and a finer grind allows this. A more coarse grind will lead to a slower, less efficient experience with uneven toasting.

This is also one of the biggest reasons I love my Flower Mill compared to a regular grinder. I swapped out the standard plate for a finer size plate, which gives my material the perfect texture.

#4: Not Heat Soaking the Bowl

Once your screen shows the temp you want, give it a few more minutes to make sure it’s fully up to temp, then put it on top of your bowl for a solid minute or so before inhaling. This basically preheats your bowl like an oven, and makes sure you’re getting up to the temps you wanted to get to.

Sometimes people will skip these steps, and they’ll just put the heater on the bowl and let it rip, as soon as the screen shows the proper temp. This will result in weaker vapor and a less efficient extraction.

Testing date on this one is very recent, coming in on January 30, 2026.

    #1: Gelato King

  • Homemade CBD Tincture (From Isolate) – Easy ‘How To’ Guide!

I love CBD tinctures, they help me get through my days. However, they can get a bit expensive, which is why I started buying isolates and making my own tinctures at home instead. Here’s how I do it!

But first, let me do a little math. My favorite, most effective CBD tincture was This One from Mellow Moose. With 3000mg per bottle, and 100mg per dose, this tincture gave me 30 days of doses for $50, or $1.66 per day.

Buying Organic CBD Isolate from Mellow Moose, I get 20 grams (20,000mg!) for $60 per jar. At my dose of 100mg per day, this isolate gives me 200 days of doses for just $10 more, or $0.30 per day. This can save a lot of money, almost $500 a year!

    So, let’s get into it.

Note: This process is the same whether you’re using CBD, CBG, or CBN isolate. No changes necessary!

The Only Ingredients I use are:

    And I’ll be using:

    • A Stove
    • A Mason Jar
    • A Pot of Water
    • A Digital Scale (0.00g)
    • A Digital Thermometer – Like This One (Optional, but strongly encouraged.)

    Step 1:

Mix 3 grams of CBD isolate (3000mg)and 30ml of MCT Oil (about 2 tablespoons)in a mason jar, and shake it well for ~30 seconds.

This ratio of 1000mg isolate : 10ml oil gives us 100mg per 1ml dose, but you can customize this to your preferred dose or amount.

Chunks of isolate will still be visible, and that’s okay. They’ll melt into the oil in the next steps.

    Step 2:

Fill a pot with enough water to cover the isolate and oil mix, but not enough to submerge the jar.

Then, put the the pot on the stove over low heat. Make sure the jar is in the pot of water before heat is applied, as putting a colder jar into warmer water can cause the jar to shatter.

Let the water reach 140-150°F, then let the jar sit in that temp for about 20 minutes. A digital thermometer is very helpful for this stage, but if you don’t have one, 140-150°F should be just under simmering.

    Step 3:

After 20 minutes, remove the jar from the water and shake the jar for another 30 seconds. The isolate should be fully melted and combined into the MCT oil now.

Let the tincture sit for around 20 minutes to cool down.

    Step 4: (optional)

Once cooled, I use a funnel to transfer the tincture into an old Mellow Moose tincture bottle I had lying around. It’s perfectly built for it, with a dropper cap for dosing, and dark glass to stop sunlight from harming the product.

If you don’t have these bottles laying around, you can just leave it in the jar you made it in, and dose directly from it. A 1ml dropper would still be ideal for dosing, but if you don’t have one, you can eyeball it using a teaspoon, knowing that 5ml = 1 teaspoon.

I hope this helps someone save some money on this medicine! I love this stuff, and to be able to make it so much more affordable is a life-saver. Take care!

  • The Hemp Ban- What You Need To Know, & How I’d Prepare.

As you may know, a bill was just signed that bans the entire US hemp market, potentially sending many hemp users back to a prohibition era. Some people are celebrating the demise of unregulated, intoxicating hemp products, but this bill goes beyond banning intoxicating hemp, it also destroys the non-intoxicating, cbd side of hemp. NO form of hemp is safe if this bill takes effect. This bill supersedes the 2018 farm bill, eradicating an entire industry worth billions.

This bill was signed on November 13, 2025. The bill gives us one year before it takes effect, giving the hemp market plenty of time to band together, protest, lobby and raise awareness, and gives our politicians time to feel pressure and change the ban. With some luck and a lot of fighting, we could hope for regulation rather than outright prohibition.

I’ll definitely be out there protesting, but here are some more things I could do if I was worried about losing access to hemp entirely – these are not recommendations 😉

    1. Stock up on seeds – Seeds were always legal even before the 2018 farm bill, but this new bill aims to make them illegal. The wording is a little iffy at the moment and could be argued, but the intent is there. I’d stock up on a few seeds with different terpene profiles, and store them in an airtight vial, with a desiccant packet to keep them dry, in a cool dark place. They’ll be good for over 10 years, easy. Even if I can’t grow at the moment, they’ll be waiting for when I can.
    2. Stock up on product itself – I’d consider buying a few pounds of bulk flower from spots like LIT Farms or Revelry Hemp, and storing it properly, vacuum sealed, jarred up and in a cool dark place. The biggest enemies to our products are heat, light and air exposure, so just avoiding those things is the goal. The flower should last at least several years this way. For bulk concentrates, I’d vacuum seal and store them in the freezer, and they’ll last even longer.
    3. Stock up on non-intoxicating cannabinoids! – A lot of people don’t realize it at the moment, but the wording of this bill destroys the non intoxicating cbd side of this market as well. Full spectrum cbd products will be fully illegal, and while pure isolate products would theoretically be okay, the plants and seeds they’re produced from would be illegal to grow. CBD and other products like CBG and CBN might not give a buzz, but they give me all the medical benefits I’ve ever wanted from this plant, even without the intoxicating effects. In my experience, they do an even better job at killing pain, helping me sleep, and giving me focus and motivation than regular herb. So, I’d definitely stock up on a few bottles of each of these cannabinoid tinctures from Mellow Moose, a USDA certified organic hemp grower and extract producer.

While it may seem like a death blow, we still have plenty of time to organize and make our voices heard. Reach out to representatives and show up to protests, we can’t go down without a fight. Take care and stay lifted.

  • Ruby Twist Ball Vape: “Unboxing” & Setup – A Quick & Easy how to!

Use code Buddy10 @ VgoodiEZ.com to get your Ruby Twist for only $180!

A year ago, I bought the Ruby Twist (Particularly, the Ruby Twist Bundle w/ Titanium Matrix Bowl + Microdose Bowl by Crossing Technology) from VgoodiEZ.com. As a daily smoker, it was the BEST decision I’ve made in a long time.

I’ll get into why I love it so much in a different post, but when I first looked into them, I was so confused. What is a ball vape?? How does a “Ball Vaporizer” even work? It sounded so complicated, and scared me a lot. I didn’t buy one for months, because I felt like I wouldn’t understand how to set it up, or what maintenance or cleaning it might need, all those little things that can surprise you after a purchase.

After doing some research, I said whatever, if all these people can figure it out, so can I! And I was very right. When you have it in your hands, it is the easiest, most intuitive thing to figure out. Almost as easy as just using a lighter!

Check out the video I made on it here ⬇️ It’s only a minute and 30 seconds!
